| Re: Let's get motivated..
Hello, great post! Like so many other things in life, one's weight and image has alot to do with your attitude. Just a couple years ago, (maybe even a year and a half) I too weighed in excess of 200 lbs. I was always tired, had no energy, had to buy large, unattractive clothes to fit in, and had low confidence and self-esteem, partly as a result. Well, I had enough of that, and I started to take control of my life, work out on a regular basis, stop touching the crap like pop, chips, etc, and attempt to make a positive difference.
For me, thats all it took, a little determination and will power. Now, I am under 170, according to the scale Im down to some 167, thats almost 40 pounds lost in about a year, and I didnt do anything drastic like crash diets or the like! Just work out and have some self-control and whatnot. I now have so much energy, enthusiasm, and zest for life! Where there were once flabby arms and legs are some real definition. I had to buy an entire new wardrobe ( a good thing), and can dress sexy, with style and class - I get compliments all the time, from young and old, male and female. I am even now starting to attract beautiful women to my side, whereas before they wouldnt give me the time of day!
Anyways, hopefully this is the right place for a post like this, but I felt I wanted to share my success story with others, maybe give some motivation! All I need to do is look at some pictures from a few years back to see how drastic it has been! I guess my main point is, working out 3+ times a week, etc etc, may seem like so much at the start (and it is!) but trust me, hold the fort for a few months and you will not want to stop! After a while, working out becomes addictive - it gives you so much energy and positive vibes! And, I have not given up on junk food or comfort or what not - I usually have a 'cheat day' once a week where I still eat stuff like pizza, chips, etc, and will ocasionally indulge in a snack like an iced cappucino or something, occasionally go on a good drinking session, but moderation is the key. I was so lazy and pessimistic in so many ways, but now I have made so many positive changes to my life, I hope people reading this can too!
