Overweight is when your BMI is between 25 and 29.9. Obesity is a BMI between 30 and 39.9. and Morbidly obese is a BMI over 40. The formula for BMI is this: you take your height in inches and square it(multiply it by itself), then you divide your weight by your height squared, then multiply this by 705.
Here is an example:
A woman is 5'6" (66") tall and weighs 200 pounds
square the height 66x66=4356
take her weight and divide it by the height squared
200/4356=.0456136
multiply the answer by 705
.0456136x705=32.4
This woman would be obese
