I clench my jaw constantly, alseep, awake. I'm sure many of you suffer from the same thing. Has anyone ever found a way to reduce it or stop? Meds, therapy? Anybody with some insight? thanks guys
I do also you should get a splint made by your dentist and you wear it on your lower or up teeth 24/7 it will help. I don't have a splint but I have alot of pains so prouble will be getting one.
I clench my teeth all the time without realizing it. I used a mouthpiece for a while but my gums started to hurt so I stopped using it but while I did wear it, it did help with the clenching. Just make sure if you get one made, that it's a good fit to avoid the gum problem.
Did you just started taking any medication? I am on Effexor XR and the first 2 weeks I noticed that I was clenching my jaw all of the time, which was something I had never done before. As my body adjusted to the medication, the jaw clenching stopped.
Man, I do the same thing...I have went through about 4 devices (settled on the nti device), went to tmj specialist, had my teeth aligned(that helped)...But the one thing that completely stopped the grinding at night was lexapro...good luck...
