I've only tried one med for my OCD and it's Zoloft. It has been a big help with my OCD symptoms but unfortunately I've gained ALOT of weight too and I know it's because of the medication. I'm seeing my doctor next week to see if he will prescribe another med so I can get my weight under control. Hopefully other people will respond to your post so you can get some info on other meds that help. Best of luck.

Thanks for responding, I'm on zoloft right now I've been on it for few years now and I think It did help me gain weight the one that made me gain weight the most is remeron. I stopped taking it.. I hope you will find one that does make you gain weight. I want a medication that helps with these intrusive obsessive thoughts that does not make me gain weight thanks again for responding

I was told that prozac was the least likely to cause weight gain and it is one of the best for intrusive thoughts but personally since I am on it, it sucks when it comes to relieving any anxiety. When I was on Paxil I gained some weight but it made me feel the best. Hope this Helps

I'm on zoloft right now and I think the anxiety is lesson some, but as for the intrusive thoughts they are still very present I'm alot better then I was in 2002 or even 2003 but I still do a very hard time with these unwanted thoughts it drives me crazy I sound crazy sometimes I was on some medicice and have tired so many medicines and i think i founs some that sorta work but not doing a great Job its just an ok Job when i first went to my second doc he told me to try prozac but i was afraid too so he put me on zoloft he said prozac would have the least side effects I gained so much weight i use to weight 115 to 125 and then i got up to 178 i took my self off the night medication and i dropped alot of the weight now im pretty much close to my weight i was before and i will not have them put me on medicine that makes me gain that much weight again, that in itself was depressing. I think when I see my new doc I will ask about prozac and keeping me on zolft to see if that will help, thanks for replying to me.. I hope your doc will put you on a medciine that helps with the anxiety because I know that feels bad to feel that take care of u God bless ya
