Thankyou for your help regarding my situation. Yes, my bf does obsess over a sexual situation, but it is much worse than just a hangup. We will be so happy one minute, then the next, he is calling me a **** and saying I disgust him. I know this sounds so mean, but I ignore him because he gets in these moods that make him a different person, totally irrational. I can't leave him because he may have a mental illness, I do love him very much. My concern is the amount he thinks about it, its so intrusive in his mind, and once its there, he can't stop thinking about it over and over.

Once again, he has "broken up" with me. Usually that means we don't talk for a day or two till he coold down, then we are fine. But I fear this time is different. He gets so mad at me, and forms almost a hatred and nothing I say or do will make it better, and then he will take everything I say literally and get mad about that. He has started seeing a psychiatrist who has him on antidepressants, and meds for bipolar, although he hasn't been diagnosed with anything yet. I asked him to talk to the doctor about his obsession, but he didn't. He thinks I making his obsessions an excuse for why he gets mad at me. I know that deep down, he is upset about what I did, not angry, and that he does love me. He thinks I am making him go to coucellors and psychiatrists to save our relationship, but I am honestly doing it to better his life and relationships with everyone, not just me. I am actually a psychiatric nursing student, so I understand him more than any gf could, and I make sure I never become his nurse, but that I am there to support. I am going to talk to him tonight, but it really doesn't look good. I will update soon on his condition.
