Children will eat non nutritive things, its called pica. Is pica a form of OCD ? I really need to know.

I've never heard it called that. It could be a form of ocd. eating that is

A book I read quite a while back listed pica as a disorder possibly in a related spectrum to ocd. Can't remember what book it was, though. Sorry.

Adults can suffer from pica, as well.

I did some more research and pica is in the spectrum of ocd disorders. When I was a kid I ate dirt on occasion. My mom took me to the doctor and he said, maybe he is deficient in some mineral. That doctor was wrong of course. My mom knew something was wrong, but ocd is hard to understand.
