Hi all,

I am really having some problems with my memory...........mostly short term. (I know.............how can I remember that I'm having trouble remembering?)

I am wondering if any of you experience memory problems. I need to know, because, dear God, I'm praying that it is my new med, wellbutrin, that is the problem.

But, I also desperately need to know if it happens with OCD.

i have a hard time remembering things short term. i can remember the important stuff like lunch dates DRs appt. and plans. but i cant remember something a person may have told me 1 hr ago if it wasnt important. like if my wife was telling me something about a new shirt she bought or something and then asks me about it 15min later i cant remember what she said.. but that could just be me being a male.

Thank you very much for your response. That sounds like what I am experiencing. Maybe I have too much testosterone....

Hi,

Could be the medication. If you're over forty, it could be middle age, too.
I think the meds take away a lot of short term memory. I have to take two antidepressants and some tranqs, and I notice that my short term memory is really suffering. If I am introduced to someone, I often forget their name immediately.
Hate it, makes me feel very stupid, which I'm not, and really bothers me.
I take Prozac and a small amount of Xanax, Ativan for sleep.
Anyone have an idea if this combination can cause this kind of memory loss?
