This doesn't seem to relate to most posts, but I still think I have OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

The reason I say that is because I don't have any "physical" obsessions. For example, I don't obsess over keeping the doors in my house locked or keeping everything perfectly clean. It seems like for me, everything that I "obsess" over is in my head. It's reallllly hard to explain, but for example, I'll be working on something and all of a sudden, I'll get "stuck" on a thought and NEED to keep thinking about it over and over. While I'm doing this, I feel a lot of anxiety. It's very annoying and I do it all the time. Sometimes I just sit on my bed thinking about something really ridiculous over and over because I feel that there's "something" I'm not realizing.

A lot of times I'll stop and begin "thinking" really hard because I'm convinced I forgot something important that I have to do. Most times, I haven't forgotten anything.

It's very weird though, because really, I'm completely 'normal' (I don't mean anyone else isn't normal, you know what I mean :P) and no one would think I have any problems. And honestly, it's even helped me in some cases, as sometimes I think over something so much that I actually do find something I did forget. For instance, before I turn in a test for school, I go over it many, many times to make sure I didn't forget anything (And unfortunately feel a lot of anxiety in the process), but because of this, I usually get very, very good grades in school.

Sorry for the large post, but could this be OCD? If not, it has to be something, because it's very weird. :P

Hell yes, it could very well be OCD! lol!

You're probably a pure obsessional, with blasphemous, sexual, and/or violent thoughts, or simply compulsive doubt inside your mind. I'm also a pure obsessional (meaning that we have very few, if any, visible compulsions- they're all mental), and it's torture because the media expects us to suspect OCD if we're a hand-washer or door-checker. I'm in no way saying that these aren't debilitating, too, because they are, but just because they're the most common, doesn't mean that that's the ONLY way OCD should be portrayed...

Even now, when I tell my friends, even friends who are psych minors, that I have OCD, they're skeptical because I'm not a neat freak. It really hurts when nobody believes you, and that feeds the obsession (mine, at least) of doubt that maybe you don't really have OCD...Maybe you're faking to get attention and special treatment...If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
