Need answer - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

I Think alot and most the time it's because I think people think thing's about me or people are fallowing me but I know it's my imagination but it still scares me. I feel like people are after me and stuff sometime. I have depression and been to mental hospital for 20 days but they never figured out what was wrong with me. I don't like the feeling of paper and won't touch it sense I was like 7 and some socks and won't write with some pensils. I won't touch some stuff because of the feeling of it freaks me out. I don't like to be touched. They have never put me on meds. but I had severe depression and I've tried to kill myself a few times.

Im sorry to hear about your experiences. I can relate to mental hospital and the memory haunts me to this day. I was commited after I took an overdose which almost killed me when I was 18.

They sound like OCD behaviours and thoughts, but Im not a doctor so I cant be certain. Did you tell the doctors you met about these experiences?

Depression can bring on OCD, or OCD bring on depression. The two go hand in hand sometimes.

It sounds like meds will help with your mood. Some meds can do wonders for depression. Maybe you might give them a try?

Sometimes OCD can be a very vague thing to diagnose, and they may have missed it if you do have it. My advice would be to keep pushing for a diagnosis, whatever it may be.

I wish you luck. I just wanted to reply because I felt like you some years ago when no one could really diganose me. It turned about to be OCD/GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), and the associated clinical depression.
