I understand fully how overwhelming and all consuming anxiety and OCD can be at times. It can sometimes feels like an impossible burden. Being a young person myself, I have felt a lot like you in the past. The saddest thing about OCD is that it can rob so much. The other sad thing is that it is very much a young persons disease when it starts. It hits in an already complicated and crucial time of life. But I have had good times now that I am a little older. Having lived with OCD for so long I am much more equipped to deal with flares ups when I have them. Life IS out there. The trick is to live day by day. Worrying about the future is not good. It hasnt even happened yet. Take the good days as the good, accept the bad days for what they are.
Thats good about your new therapist, hopefully things will pick up for you? Try not to worry, therapists are trained for this sort of thing. Just take it all in your stride.
