Do any ladies out there obsessively do self breast checks? I (knock on wood) have never had breast scares, but I do obsess about cancer - I go in phases where I'm good for a while, (days or weeks) and then go a few days where I check them 2 or 3 times a day - talk about sore! Anyway, I was just wondering if any fellow ocdr's do this?
Hi~ I do that off and on .. depends on my anxiety level. But for me, it could be with anything. The boob check, or my mouth, anything. The other day I saw these white spots in my lower lip and I know it's been like that for years but i couldnt stop checking.. I have a teeth cleaning appt on the 20th but just called to change the appt for tomorrow just so i can easy my mind and stop thinking about it. I didnt want to wait another few weeks.
I mean It's good i check myself now and then but I tend to hold on to the thought over and over and drives me nuts until i hear it from my Dr everything's ok.
Maybe u can go see ur dr and get a check up and u'll feel more at ease after.
Anyway, I was just wondering if any fellow ocdr's do this?
