I don't think it can work; that's jsut the nature of OCD: Giving in to a compulsion usually creates MORE anxiety.
I CAN relate to what you talk about. Soemtimes a thought even pops in my head like, "if i hear something special right at the count of three, this means that....." (whatever). I have to remind myself not to do this!

I don't think the world works like this.
