| Re: OCD and Obssesive Love?
Sorry no one replied to you. I've experienced this and just bought a book about OCD that talks about this. A man who was obscessed with a co-worker to the point of just having to see her everyday. It says he was content just to be near her, in a working environment, but when she started dating someone, he became obsessive more, like letting the guys tires out and always "watching this girl until she looked up and met his eye". He stole an extra pair of shoes of hers that she kept at the restaurant and he slept with them because he felt he had to be sleeping just touching something of hers. He eventually lost his job and she got a restraining order. It didn't stop though. It's like he just had to be on the same street as her, so he got a job in another restaurant on the same block and so on. He went to a therapist and basically it was like he was stuck on the thought of just needing a piece of her life in his life. Like standing by the train track to see the train she took pass by each day. Otherwise he was a gentle caring and normal man described by the other people he worked for and knew him and that it was just his obscession with her that was an abnormal behavior. The doctor in the book actually diagnosed this as erotomania. It didn't have much else info about it in this book, but now that you know the name, you might can do some research. I've suffered from this myself and through God's help and acceptance, it has helped me overcome it. Hope you find the support you are looking for.
