A scab is natures way of providing an immediate and temporary covering to protect your largest organ.. .the skin.
By picking it off, you are opening yourself up to all kinds of germs, that are waiting to invade your body at any opportunity.
Meanwhile your immune system is attacking these tiny invaders, with all it's got (which is much easier to do, with the scab there). Putting your dirty little fingers up to pick them only makes it worse.
If left alone, the little rip in your skin will heal quickly, heal properly, and forgotten forever.
If pestered, or picked, it wil be forced to go through this healing process over and over again...often leaving angry, unattractive, little battlegrounds...ok-scars.
