I found this site through drugtalk.com. Where do I begin. I could go on forever. I am 39 and have suffered from OCD since I was about 9 (when my parents divorced). I was officially diagnosed with OCD in 1996. I recall various behaviors from my childhood that now after learning what OCD is, they were definitely OCD. I'm nervous talking here - because one symptom of my ocd is being afraid to write certain words or expressions. I have both the Obs. & Com. That's as far as I'll go for now - hopefully I can get up the nerve to talk more about my disorder. I started seeing a psychiatrist in 1997. I'm on my third medication - Luvox. It's been a slow go at it. Started at 50 mg for about 1 wk 1/2, went up to 100 mg. for the same amount of time, upped it to 150 and now at 200 for about 3 1/2 - 4 wks. It's taken some time for it to kick in, but seems to be working slowly. Has anyone else had this experience with Luvox? Has it taken a while for it to kick in?
