Connection? - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

I have a question. I have 2 distinct phobias. A fear of heights (in a big bad way) and Iam completely clausterphobic. Has anyone noticed that when you have one of these, that you have both? Are they related in some sort of a way? And, do phobias and anxiety kinda go hand in hand? Sometimes I feel like my whole world is spinning out of control!

I am clasterphobic, but not afraid of heights. I see a connection between anxiety and aphobias, however.

I definitely think that there is a connection between anxiety and phobias, but what that connection is I don't know. They both kind of "feel" the same way I guess. Being in an elevator and having an anxiety attack are the same feeling for me. Heart rate goes way up, start to sweat, get dizzy, basically feel like Iam going to die. It's such a lovely feeling!
