Red face SPIDERS!!! HELP!!!!!!!

HI! I HAVE A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE FEAR OF SPIDERS AND EVEN THEIR WEBS. TORNADOS TOO BUT I'LL STICK WITH THE SUBJECT LOL.
ANYWAYS, THEY ARE CONSTANTLY MAKING WEBS ALL OVER MY STUFF ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER AND IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY. HALF THE TIME I'M TOO SCARED TO TOUCH ANYTHING ON THE COUNTER. THIS IS A CONSTANT THING.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEIR IS SOMETHING I CAN DO TO STOP THIS PROBLEM OR IF THEIR IS ANY TIME OF SPIDER TRAP OR SOMETHING? I KNOW IT SOUNDS SILLY BUT THEY HAVE ROACH TRAPS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. I REALLY NEED SOMETHING TO GET RID OF THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! THANKS!

There are spider repellent sprays you can use. One is called Cobweb Eliminator. You can get them at garden stores or on the internet.

I just use a vacuum to clean 'em up once or twice a week. I like spiders as long as they stay in their place away from me.

Question

HI! THANKS FOR REPLYING. ARE THE SPRAYS HARMFUL IN ANY WAY? I WOULD BE A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT SPRAYING ANYTHING ON THE COUNTER TOP. THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR SOME REASON. THANKS AGAIN!

I have the worst arachnophobia in the whole world! I have it so bad that if I know a spider is in the room, I cannot sleep, eat, or move at all until I know that it is dead.

Once when I was camping there was a spider that was the size of a tarantula (not joking,) it was called something like, water doggy or some weird name. I nearly had a heart attack and passed out after some guy shoved the dead bits of it into my face.

It is terrible. I can't always get people to kill them for me, as I can't do it myself, so I am practically paralyzed till someone comes to my rescue.

There was a night when there was a spider in my room; I wanted to sleep desperatly but absolutely couldn't until it was dead. It was the middle of the night so I was practically forced to kill it myself or wake someone up. So being wimpy little me, I lugged out the vaccuum cleaner, changed the attachment and got prepared to kill it on my own. Unfortunately, as soon as I got close to it, it would move and I would absolutely spaz! I ended up waking someone up, got them all mad at me and they refused to kill it for me. I ended up camping out in the living room that night.

Another time, there was a spider on my wall, and I tried to be brave so I got a tupper ware container and held it overtop of the spider. I moved it around so that I knew the spider had to be inside of it, got a friend to open the window and pitched it off the second floor, into the backyard. I didn't look at or touch that container for three days afterwards, I just left it out on the ground.

It is frusterating to be afraid of something when logically you know you really shouldn't be. I know that all I have to do is step on it or squish it with my hand, and that it wont kill me or attack, but even still, I am absolutely terrified of them!

My point of all of this was, that it is ok that you are afraid of spiders because many people are. It might not make sense, but we are weird creatures and have complex minds. Don't worry about feeling weird, or completely obsessed with being scared of them, I and many others can relate.

If you find a spider killer, let me know, I need one too! Good luck!

I am as bad as you, too. If I see a spider, someone has to kill it and it has to be flushed down the toilet too so I know it can't "come back"...how pathetic, huh? LOL! I don't use any sprays or traps, it won't work. I have the Terminix man come once a month and if I see one between visits, I have him come BACK! It keeps a handle on things. I don't have cobwebs either, that's nasty! LOL! Trust me, call an exterminator and have him come every month, or every two weeks if you have a bad problem. It CAN be contained, trust me, because I would not be able to live without my Terminix man. LOL!
