Sharks and tornados - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

My 2 biggest fears are sharks and tornados(thunderstorms!) I know why Im scared of sharks, its b/c the very first movie i saw was jaws...so now i wont even go into the ocean, im soo scared!! even when people say they wont come near me, i will not go in the ocean...any suggestions? wow and then theres tornados....ims o afraid b/c i live in michigan and we do get them occasionaly and when the siren goes off, i go crazy, i cry and go insane! any other suggestions?? its kinda commen since im stil a teenanger but wow sharks are scary...tornados are scarieer...

I dislike torandoes as well; they are so damaging. I live in Wisconsin and we often have the sierens going off as well. I don't get to panorid but I do get really scared. So I hear what you are saying.

sharks are scary creatures i agree. They are really not as dangerous as all the hollywood hype has them out to be though. cases of sharks attacking people are pretty sporadic for the most part. the only thing you have to be careful of is making sure that you are not bleeding in the water. it would make you more comfortable i'm sure if you went to a crowded beach. perhaps take a cruise or go out on a private boat. I dont think there has ever been a real case of a shark attacking a boat.

I am scared to death of toronados too. I get so freaked out when there is a bad thunderstorm, especially when I am by myself!
