Zoloft anyone? - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

I have been really sick lately. It feels as if all of the chemicals in my brain are screwed up.. or as if there is not enough of a certain chemical. I have been on Zoloft for 2 weeks. Is anyone else on it? How long does it take to work....and what is your experience?

I just found this board today and I have the same problem you do. I started Zoloft 11 days ago and I'm having trouble getting used to it. I feel dizzy and sick to my stomach. I'm on 100mg. My doctor told me that it takes about three weeks before you start to notice improvement and up to 12 weeks before you get the maximum benefit. It is such a long, slow process when you are suffering. Please keep me informed about your progress with the meds and I'll let you know how I'm doing.

I have OCD as well. I've been on Zoloft for almost 5 weeks and it has made my OCD MUCH MUCH WORSE! I started tapering off it a few days ago...I'm feeling a bit better now but still awful.

I'm going to switch to prozac, which I took a few years ago and liked a lot.

Hope you guys have better luck with it!
