WHAT MEDICINES WORK - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

Ahhhhhh... is anyone having luck on medication, and if so- which one?? What causes OCD and is there a cure? This is horrible. I just want to live and experience without thinking!

Although I haven't been offically diagnosed yet, the psychiatrists I've been seeing have said I either have OCD, some kind of Psychosis, or Schizophrenia, but in any case they say it's not text book. I've been put on a mix of Prozac(10mg), Geodon(40mg, twice a day), and Ambein(10mg at night for insomnia). It seems to help a little, but I'm not too enthralled with it or therapy.

KyraJean, have you ever tried St. John's Wart? Like anything else, it works for some but not for others.
