New & Afraid - Can Anyone Help ? - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Message Board

I am 28 and a single mom of a 9 girl & 5 boy. Left husband while dealing w/ cervical cancer w/o any support system, then financially and emotionally ruined by next boyfrien who ended up stalking me, which brought on a new world of anxiety, hard time leaving my home, pulling out my hair and even thoughts of suicide. I would really like to meet people who I can talk w/o leaving my comfort zone. (HOME)I don't have any close friends and horrible relationship w/parents - the more I research Anxiety, I feel I have had it all of my life but at manageable level, yet still alienting myself. Tried seeking medical help but always feel worse than before. Not being UNDERSTOOD!!!!!! Please help me.

I have ocd also, check locks several times, even numbers, line up shoes, everything in its place or can't go to bed-leave house. Fear of hieghts, dogs, horses, bugs, mice (have monthly service to keep them away) washing hands so much that they are raw. I also pull my hair, eyebrows, leg and pubic hair out. I have realized that I fixate on an area until the starting to be noticable stage- then move to another one. Is this normal or am I in control enough to be embarassed enough to withold my urges? Please direct to getting help. I am REALLY at my limit and worry myself about being able to cross the line. Need an outlet that truely understands and CAN HELP ME!!!
