Hello there,
if what you have is OCD, yes, there are very good ways to treat it. Many years ago, OCD was known as really hard to treat, but since then more has been understood about the disorder and it is treated quite successfully! Either with medication or therapy or both. I can tell you from my experience that getting over OCD is a very liberating feeling, the kind of "wow I am alive again!" feeling.
I am not sure if what you have is OCD because your description is very vague. And anyway it is better to talk to a specialist. But please don't think that you are stuck with something for life, that is such a TERRIBLE thought (I had that thought a lot of times and it was always one of the saddest things to imagine).
Maybe you can tell us a little more about what you feel, and what your thoughts are. For example:
Do you have thoughts that you can't get rid of, that bother you and you know are irrational but they scare you anyway?
Are there certain things you feel you "have to" do, like for example clean or wash excessively because you fear contamination, or check things excessively, or are there any rituals you perform?
Or are there thoughts you feel you "have to" think, mental rituals? Or thoughts you are afraid of thinking that pop back up anyway?
