Angry What could this be??????

I'm new to this whole OCD thing..I just came across this forum today and thought I might read some posts. Well, as I was doing this I started realizing that I do some of these same things that ppl are referring too. I'm 16 (almost 17)..below is a list of (odd) things that I find myself doing! If you could just tell me if it sounds like OCD to yall or not? If not..maybe what it might be? Or am I just plain odd???

1) When I'm in the car I constantly count the broken lines in the middle of the road as we pass by them. If I don't do this then I feel like something "bad" will happen to me!! I count the tiles in the bathroom when I'm in there. I make mazes with designs on walls...etc.
2) When I pass by something I sometimes run my fingers across it.
3) IF I make a mistake when I'm typing a paper or email I erase the WHOLE sentence instead of that simple word because I feel like the sentence just "wouldn't be right".
4) If my handwriting isnt "perfect" on my papers for school I rewrite the WHOLE paper.
5)When I get in the shower I'm constantly touching a part of my body to make sure I took ALL of my clothes off because i feel like I forgot to take something off.
6) I'm pregnant and if I hear of a disease or something that could go wrong with the baby or cause harm I obsess over it untill I worry myself SICK!
7) I'm constantly brushing my hair.
8) Alot of times I constantly look behind me because I feel someone's following me or watching me.
9) If I see a pattern of something I count every little detail about it..how many lines...etc

I know thats a lot but I felt like venting to someone. I really feel weird because I do some of these things...am I??? Thanks in advance!!

Hey hun!

Firstly, welcome to the OCD boards. You probablly do have OCD, but none of us can diagnose you here but you should see a doctor about it-don't be ashamed or shy or scared, there only there to help.

I do this too!- "IF I make a mistake when I'm typing a paper or email I erase the WHOLE sentence instead of that simple word because I feel like the sentence just "wouldn't be right"." -It's so frustrating aye? I'm slowly getting past it but I did that for 2 years and it drove me absolutely crazy!

I feel for you hun, OCD is a hard thing to deal with and live with but with a diagnosis and some help you'll be on your way to reovery in no time hopefuly!

Keep me posted!

Dramaqueen.

Counting lines in the road by itself would not be OCD. But when you add in that something bad will happen if you dont count well I would say thats OCD.
I have heard people can train themselves not to obsess.

Hey, hmm it would probablly be best if you made a confidential appointment with your own doctor and got him/her to give you a referal to a specialist that can help you.
