Unhappy Obsessing about meds...Help or encouragement

Hi All!!! Recently I went back on zoloft, 100 mg. I was completely off of it for two months but because I was experiencing extreme panic and many obsessive thoughts I am back on the zoloft and am having lots of anxiety because I think maybe the zoloft just won't work for me anymore and for that matter. I am concerned and wonder if the klonopin and lithium are working. I am 25 years old and have been on meds for about 7 years. I am just scared and not sure what I need to do. Any advise my wise friends!? Thanks in advance!!!!

Soar - I am not on any of those meds. So I can't help you. Sorry. But I do hope you get it straightened out.

Hello there,

I can feel for you... when I started on Prozac it worked so miraculously for my OCD and I have had those thoughts, what if I ever decide to stop it and the OCD comes back, and I go back on it and maybe it won't work anymore?

OK here's the thing... yes I have heard those reports of people not having a medication work the second time around, BUT!!! I have also heard any reports of people who went back on a med and it worked wonderfully again.

I guess sometimes our body chemistry changes, and sometimes the same med will work again.

PLEASE IF YOU CAN try not to obsess about it (yeah easier said than done, I know). So often i have obsessed about things and then later it all just turned out wonderfully.

Kathrin

Hangten, thanks for responding...and Kathrin, it so nice to know u can relate, and thank u for the assurance and bit of encouragemet. I hate feeling so alone You know, all night I sleep through the night and usually wake up anxiety free then my mind start to think, and ponder those "what ifs" and I feel like I am in some sort of web....trapped! Anyhow, thanks again.

Hi,

I thought I would mention that I dropped off my dosage of Luvox from 100mg to 50mg over 3 months and did have a re-occurance of OCD. I went back to 100mb but have not been able to get back to my happy zone. I am trying to decide with my dr on increasing or switching. Wish I knew what to do.

Cheers
