citalopram

hello,
ive been diagnosed with ocd and am having it for 6 years now . I have been taking citalopram for it all these years once a day .but when my ocd got violent and started to have anxiety attacks ,my doctor increased the dosage to double .and now its been 6 months since i started feeling worse and i didnt get any better .do you think i need to change the medication ? Pls help .
