Interested to hear opinions on Abilify and Seroquel.

Not taken at the same time, but taken separately.

Thank you.

Re: Interested to hear opinions on Abilify and Seroquel.

I never tried Seroquel but I was on Abilify on & off for 5 years because of psychotic derpession & mood swings but I have bad OCD issues too. Abilify never helped my OCD(but none of the meds I tried did) & it had lots of side-effects. I stuttered/slurred a lot, had ticks/twitches, I had tremors(I have a tremor disorder that Abilify & other anti-psychotics aggravate lot) my mouth was constantly dry, I had problems focusing & kept zoning out a lot. I was on the lowest dosage most of the time but it was increased a bit a few times for a month & it still never helped my OCD other than zoning me out

Thanks Nick. Tremors is the word I was looking for.

Re: Interested to hear opinions on Abilify and Seroquel.

Your Welcome deand. I have Essential Tremors & lots of psych meds I tried(especially anti-psychotics & Anafranil) made them worse. I'm more sensitive to that side-effect than the average person so Abilify may not affect you like that but there's still a chance it could. Some on other forums had similar complaints about it. I'd recommend starting with the lowest dose if you do try it & not increasing for a while
