Hmm, I'm a little puzzled everyone. Occasionally, I have trouble breathing. It's a feeling where no matter how hard you breath in, you don't get enough oxygen. My broncial tubes really tighten up. But it's never bad enough to go to the hospitol. These attacks ususally happen when I don't get enough sleep. I had one time where the breathing was very very hard for several days, and when I went to the doctor, they said I had bronchitus and gave me an inhaler to use. It helped quite a bit. Well, even though I;m not supposed to...I use it occasionally when I have a hard time breathing. However, the problem goes away also if I don't use the inhaler. It doesn't happen very ofetn. Should I go and talk to the doctor, and for asthma people, does this sound like asthma? (I don't smoke, by the way)

Sounds like asthma. It should be ok to use the inhaler. If it runs out and you're still having problems, see the doc.

Yes that does sound like asthma to me, but it could also be stress related. Keep a note of when you have these attacks, what you've eaten, what you're doing etc - do you wheeze as well? Do you have any other allergic tendencies? Your doc can get you do do a peak flow test to determine what your lung capacity is, as well as other tests. Get it checked out. Asthma left untreated is dangerous.

It never hurts to be seen by a doctor and evaluated.
If this is a consistent problem than it has to be something more serious than bronchitis. There is another condition where you can have trouble breathing also. The condition is called Hyper-venalating, this is very simular to asthma attacks however if you breathe into a paper bag by inhaling in and out it does help. Just to be on the safe side because asthma is very dangerous you should be seen. Good luck.
