Hi I am hoping that somebody will have advice for me, my sis developed a lump on her head in September. She has had all sorts of test and they have come back unconclusive, or showing nothingg. In the last week she has passed out twice and been uncouscious both times for two hours at a time. Does anyone know what is wrong, or has anyone had similar expeirences. I am really worried.

Wow that sounds pretty serious. Have you taken her to the hospital? You must have a childrens hospital if your in Toronto (I don't know how old your sis is). I would take her in and not leave until you've received an answer. People shouldn't loose consciosness and the past information you have been given is not satisfactory. Your sis could be in danger. Has she had an MRI? Wow go to the hospital.

Sunnybrook [Bayview Ave., south of Lawrence] has the best head/spinal trauma unit in the GTA. Another possibility is Toronto General [University Ave. & Gerrard].

For kids [16 and younger] go to Sick Kids [Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Ave, just south of Toronto General Hosp].

Your best bet is a teaching hospital; avoid the local hospitals, esp. for paeds or for anything that's a little odd or different.

Get to a neurologist pronto.
Anything that is this serious needs early detection and treatment.
Don't be surprised if the previous doctors turn out to be morons.

Just being un consience for two hours at a time could cause brian damage. You should see a doctor who speailizes in that area. Good luck Mike
