Angry ORTHRO DOCTORS CAN KILL

ANYBODY KNOW OF A ORTHRO DOCTOR GIVING A CORTIZONE INJECTION TO THE SHOULDER FOR A ROTATOR CUFF INJURY THAT CAUSED A STAPH INFECTION. I DO AND HE ALMOST KILLED ME, HE WAS CARELESS IN THE WAY HE DOES THINGS AND I ALMOST PAID FOR IT WITH MY LIFE. THE RESPONSE I RECEIVED WAS **** HAPPENS AND TOUGH LUCK. I KNOW I DIDN"T HAVE STAPH WHEN I WENT IN HIS OFFICE BUT I DID WHEN I LEFT. IT COULD HAPPEN IN A ANOTHER COUNTRY BUT NOT HERE YOU SAY. THEY SPENT TO MUCH TIME ON THE GOLF COURSE AND AS EXPERT WITNESSES AND LESS TIME WORRYING ABOUT THE PATIENTS THEY SERVE.

The only language people speak now a days is money. As they say money is thicker than blood. Itís sad but true.

Staph is very common...and it's everywhere, including on your skin. I agree that medical professionals need to be as careful as possible but it's impossible to sterilize everything....

Hi robram4,
Any injection carries the risk of infection, but how awful!

Did they swab your arm before the injection?

HE SPRAYED MY SHOULDER AND HAD HIS LEFT HAND ON MY SHOULDER AND RIGHT HAND FOR THE INJECTION WITHOUT GLOVES AND A SHIRT AND TIE ON, I REMEMBER HIS ASSISTANT BRINGING IN THE NEEDLE AND LYING IT ON THE COUNTER JUST BEFORE INJECTION. I RMEMBER THE NEEDLE BEING LONG AND STINGING WHEN HE DID IT. THE STAPH AUREOUS INFECTION STARTED IN THE JOINT AND EVENTUALLY THROUGHOUT MY BODY (SEPSIS) LEADING TO ARDS AND A LATE DIAGNOSIS TO HELP ME. THE SHOULDER GOT RED AND SWOLLEN AND WARM TO TOUCH AT THE INJECTION SIGHT 5 DAYS LATER AND I HAD CHILLS AND DISCOMFORT AND TREATMENT WAS DELAYED BECAUSE OF DIAGNOSE WAS SLOW. I AM PAYING DEARLY FOR ALL OF THIS NOW. I HAVE A SHOULDER THAT HAS A MASSIVE TEAR NOW AND THEY NO LONGER WANT TO TREAT ME. I HAVE A NEW ORTHRO DOCTOR FROM A DIFFERENT GROUP AND WILLING TO HELP ME WHEN I AM READY AND IS VERY UNDERSTANDING AND CAREING. I WILL NEVER I ME NEVER GET A CORTIZONE INJECTION AGAIN FOR ANYTHING IN THE FUTURE. THANKS FOR CARING ROB
