libloom Veteran (female) Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: Pittsburgh PA Posts: 343	acupuncture for osteoarthritis Hi....I was hoping to hear from someone who has tried acupuncture for osteoarthritis, specifically in a hip. I have been diagnosed with same, and eventually need THR. As I am only 55, I am trying to "buy" some time before surgery. The pain has truly affected my quality of life...no more walking for sure! I work full-time and driving back and forth is a painful event. I have had the hip injected, take Alleve and Ultracet....with no relief! Figured I'd try acupuncture...seems I have nothing to lose!! Any thoughts, suggestions, guidance? Thanks....Linda
