Need some help on this...Because of lower abdominal pain dr. suggested colonoscopy. Pics showed that there was several pockets and slight redness. Went to my family dr and he also said that I have IBS. I am not constipated nor do I have diarrhea, but now the pain has moved from my lower abdomen to the lower part of my back. The pain is just above my tailbone, and I walk slumped down to try and alleviate the pain. Is this normal?
Yes. In fact she was the one that suggested the colonscopy because everything else showed normal. She sent me to have a urine test and that came back normal as well. I'm just at a loss wondering why my lower back bothers me so much. It does seem as if the pain just rotated from my lower abdomen to my back. That may be one of the signs of IBS. I've also been told that I have diverticulous(hope I spelled that right).
