Post it might be stress but.....

Today somthing happened to me at work that hasn't happened for a long time. I was getting really stressed at work when al of a sudden I felt a tightening in my chest. it went from one shoulder to the next. When i tryed to take a deep breath it hurt. After a few min. it went away. I just had a check up and the doc said my heart was just fine.

Is this just sress related or is there more going on?

Remember when you are under a stressful situation your chest muscles tighten and can compress some very highly sensitive nerves which cause pain feeling like heart related chest pain but it isn't usually the heart. But for your own peace of mind bring it up to your Dr, I think you will find it isn't anything to be concerned about.

anxiety, never thought about that, but the more i think about it the more it makes since. I always pride myself at work that most of the time at work i have control and can keep myself calm in the stressful situations but at that time i was getting the feeling of losing control. thank you very much! I will also ask my doc. the next appointment i have, just to make sure.

Have a great day!!!!!
