HI matty- zuzu again....You make a lot of sense.
I've seen some of your other posts, and replied to one so far.
You are right that we shouldn't worry what other people think about us. Actually you WOULDN'T if you knew how seldom they do! We can't change other people but we CAN change how we RESPOND to them. That's the trick. I used to be so self-conscious, always worried if people liked me, how I looked, if I fit in, what to say, how to BE...and it just consumed me. No amount of self-reasoning and insight seemed to last long until I went to a therapist. It was amazing. It really helped me realize that I am worthwhile and not a bad kid at all. I've actually never met anyone worth knowing who is liked by everybody! I came to the realization that most people probably like me, a few probably don't, and maybe a handful love me. That's all I can ask for.
What did you mean "not what normal people would do"?
How do you know YOU are not the normal one?
Different, maybe. Most of our great world leaders, inventors, scientists, artists, writers, ain't exactly "normal"!!
