Post still having edema

Its been since april 3rd,since I saw dr for monthly visit... 14 days come the 17th...and so far I've seen nothing that the low sodium diet nor decreased liquids have helped with edema.

I'm up for Suggestions now Til I go back to the doctor
At this point i'll try anything from apple cider vinger to whatever...within reason and is safe.

I even elevate my feet daily for an hour at a time.

Course has no clue if my trip down steps last night helped any........

You need to wear support hose when out of bed and be sure to put them on BEFORE you put your feet out of bed. That means having them laying at the foot of the bed or on a night stand next to the bed so you can reach them and put them on before you put your legs down. You feet need to be elevated as much as possible and this means more than an hour a day when up unless physically impossible. When lying down be sure your legs are higher than your heart. Be sure to read all labels on canned and boxed food as many of it contains excess sodium uless it specifically says no added salt. When cooking this means not using any salt and no salt at the table. If you want to use a salt substitute that is fine. Also if you don't have any support stockings you can wrap your legs with ace bandages from the toes to your knees and take these off only at bedtime. Also if you like parsley that is a natural diuretic but I don't think too many people are fond of eating parsley. Your best help though will be reading all of your food labels, the support stockings and elevating your legs and feet as often as you can.
