I am nervous about this illness personally, especially as we fly regularly. It seems as though it isn't fatal typically but still, I am concerned. Especially after news reports today that it is in Toronto and that is terribly fr from where I live. EEEEEKKKK.
Tam, there maybe something in it but the article you directed me to was more like a plug for the professor who is publishing a book. This bug has the right to be thought to be sinister no matter where it originated until we find a vaccine because it is easily transmitted and it is a killer. That it originated in a third world country is jsut how it is - most bugs will come from places where sanitation and hygeine are not up to the standards as the rest of the world. That is just how it is and nothing to do with culture or racism.
I fear for the people in Asia, especially for those in China. I'm also upset because I can't travel to Asia this summer like I usually do. But I am ever so thankful that there have been no deaths in Korea and America from SARS.
