Okay this might sound rediculous but it's worth a try... I was wondering if there's any kind of vitamin or any drug that will stunt your growth? I'm like 5"8' and growing.... I'm taller than like everybody and I'm only 15.. Being a tall female sux... I'm like an inch shorter than my boyfriend... I can't grow anymore... I don't wanna be taller than him

Can anybody help?

I am not aware of any meds that will stunt your growth. And, at this stage in your life trying to do so is not advised. I do understand the frustration you are feeling as we have a 12 year old girl that currently stands 5'7" tall.

The good thing for you is the fact that girls stop growing at a younger age than guys do. Chances are, your boyfriend will continue to grow as well. As for your height...try not to focus on the downside of it. Try to find the positives of being a taller female. Many guys out there find a tall female to be very attractive.

I know that it is hard to think on that level at this time, but there really isn't much you can do about it. Enjoy the fact that you have yet another attribute that contributes to you being unique.

Hi studcake, I feel for you. I'm 25 and I'm about 5'9". When I was your age I really hated being tall. I got teased alot and people to this day still bug me about being tall. I don't think there are any kind of meds that will stunt your growth. Sometimes I wish there were. Being tall can suck sometimes. I don't like being taller than some men. Do you get teased alot about your height? Do people ever ask you do you play basketball? I get that alot.
I think I was 5'7" when I was 12.

My friend is 5'9 and so am I and she told me that no one dated tall girls in her high school in Minnesota and that they got made fun of. She wishes she was 5'6 to this day even though no one says a thing bad about her height anymore. And now I am hearing it on the forums too. I think this is so strange because I not even once got made fun of for my height and I had lots of dates. In grade school I was the tallest out of everyone except one other girl that was a smidgen taller than me. Neither of us got made fun of. Actually, she bragged about being the tallest in the class. This is probably why I don't mind being 5'9 at all. My sister is 5'9 too and never in her life got made fun of it for it. Actually I notice lots of girls that are just as tall if not taller. Is it that Wisconsin just has a lot more tall women than in any other state so it is acceptable here?
