Parkinson's is virtually unheard of in teenagers, so it could be benign essential tremor, which although bothersome, is of no medical significance. Is it a shakey, fine tremor or does the whole thumb actually jerk?
Sometimes, in people your age, isolated twitching can be something known as benign fasiculation syndrome. It's not serious . (Note the word "benign"!) Fasciculations are muscle twitches.
If it continues and is really bothering you, see your doctor just to put your mind at ease if nothing else!
