help my s.o. has been fighting for benifits for about 4 yrs he finaly got a favorable dision in march we just got the letter of aproval last month still no word on when the benifits will start since then the only auto we had has gone bad (front end & brakes, and who knows what else) we were able to get in to another car but now have to come up with a down and am behind on everythin else i do work but just cant keep up with everything we are sinking fast any clues or suggestions on how to speed up the prosess

Hey
I was approved for disability May 1st, and I got a letter saying I should have a check deposited to my checking account on June 18th. I still don't know when I will get all my back payment from the time I filed, which will be one lump sum.
I was told to have my checks go into direct deposit so it won't take so long to get it started.
Call your local SS office and give them your case number, they can tell you what you want to know.
