John~
Please don't feel so down. My 17 year old son is almost 6 feet and he's 125lbs. So ya'll are about the same. Guess what...he's not a twitcher...I am though.
I've been twitching for about 9 months now. I've had all the tests too. They say mine is from anxiety also.
At one point I thought I could have ALS but I don't and you don't either.
Did your doc tell you, you have benign fasciculation syndrome(BFS)=benign twitching syndrome. I could almost bet that's what you have..exact same thing as I. I am a nervous person and from your post, you are also. Basically it's an over abundance of adrenaline going through our bodies for whatever reason(anxiety is my bet). My neurologist told me that it could go away in a few weeks, months, years or never. Our systems could be permanently altered. Please don't be saddened by this one sentence. People LIVE with abnormalites all the time..diabetes, arthritis, kidney&liver problems and we all live with these conditions, we just adjust.
Yours might even go away completely
Did your doc give you any meds, such as:xanax, klonopin to help with feeling less anxious??
Please don't let this make you sick into losing weight.You're a young HEALTHY young man, with much going for you. Don't let this destroy your life.
Now go eat a pizza and try to relax and live your life to the fullest.
Remember, we're twitchers and we're neighbors(I live in Houston..

)
Relax,
Renee
