hi
Its about my friend Shahzaman who is paralyzed waiste down.
He was in states for the last four months and he just came
back to pakistan. Doctors couldn't diagnose anything in his
case. they just did that experimental therapy of plasma exchange
and it is also not producing any positive results so far. I remember
once I posted my problem on this board and a very kind person told me
about a website where u get experts online. But this was a site for
spinal cord. Could anyone of you there can
tell me about some site about nervous sysytem where i can find online
doctors to talk to them about there opinion oR if i send
them my friend's medical history they can guide me.
Shahzaman has given up but i can't. I'm sttill hopeful that something
good will happen. i want to give it a try.
People help me in my struggle. Just tell me about any site where
I can find some good doctor online.

Batool- Why would you trust an online doctor who (if they are any good) is not in a position to help without seeing your friend personally? A good and trustworthy doctor would only refer you to perhaps the National Institutes of Health (the NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. The NIH will steer you in the right direction about where to go, rehab, clinical trials (if you are dealing with a spinal cord injury) anything you need to know...I got this info thru MEDLINE and can post this since it's pre- approved by the moderators of HealthBoards......THEIR MAIN PAGE:

thanks a million for replying. I applied my friend's case in NIh and Dr. Dalaks The head of neurological disorders said that Shahzaman's (my friend) case can't be accepted in NIh because nothing is diagnosed in his case and in NIh they do research on certain deseases. So Shahzaman has to come back to pakistan as there was no hope in states. U can't imagene the time we are passing through.Doctors in america said that shahzaman has to do an extensive rehab and may be it can help they are not sure about it. You see he stayed in states for 5 months and it was so expensive to stay there for a longer period and than there was no hope. We are totally confused.
