Triple screen positive for DS 1:263. Help! - Open to All Other Health Topics Message Board

Hi, my doc just called me today, the nurse rather, and told me that my triple screen tested positive with a risk of Downs Syndrome 1:263. I am so worried. They have scheduled a level 2 ultrasound, next week. Why cant they do it now. Isnt this an emergency? Please your advice on this. Others tell me not to worry, that the Triple screen has a high false positive rate. But I cant help it. Is my baby ok. I am 31y/o, with 2 healthy children. Cant sleep or concentrate. please... your advice. thanks

You might want to try posting on the pregnancy board for some advice. There are a lot of wonderful women over there that my be able to help you.
