Metabolism is way too fast!!! HELP - Open to All Other Health Topics Message Board

My body's metabolism is stupidly fast. I hate it! Yes, it does have its advantages. However, I suspect that the medication I am on is not getting absorbed properly because of my quick metabolism. Is that something that can actually happen? Can a person's metabolism be so quick that it prevents proper absorbtion? If so, what can I do about it? Any information would be helpful.

Yes, hyperthyroidism speeds up your metabolism which CAN cause many problems. If you haven't had it checked, make an appointment with your doctor.

Why do you suspect your metabolism is too fast?

Is it because some meds you are on don't seem to be working? Or are you having any specific symptoms?

just a short note, i think when you talk about metabolism, you speak in terms of high and low.

you think yours is high? i am 6ft and 130 pounds. mine is very very high. i think meds get absorbed properly but i think lower dosages should be applied more for people with high metabolisms.
