Severe pain in lower stomach area when I cough
I am going to visit a GP tomorrow if the situation doesn't improve, but does anyone have any pointers as to what may be wrong with me. All of last week I was confined to bed/infront of a fire because of a viral chest infection, eg headache, intense feelings of coldness, wakin up with my bed clothes/ night clothes covered in sweat etc. They symptoms have all but gone, still feel slightly chilly, have a slightly sniffy nose, and a cough that comes from the chest. All food and drink tastes different, and I have lost my appetite. All this I guess is the results of what I had last week.
However when I cough I get an intense pain in my lower stomach abdomen region, between my belly button, and pubic area and about 3*4 inchs to the right. It also hurts slightly when I stretch, but the pain is almost unbearable when I cough. The only relieve I can seem to get is when I put my head between my knees and cough, this deadens the pain considerably. Is this just a simple muscle strain, maybe a reaction after not eating anything for 4 days, or is it something more serious.
