Did your physician say that it was ok to take both? You may also want to consult your pharmacist to make sure. I have been on benzo's (valium, klonopin, ativan) in the past and due to orthopedic problems have also been prescribed pain meds such as vicoden, percocet, etc. Consult your pharmacist to make sure, I am not a doctor so I can't give you a definitive answer. I however have taken benzo's and pain medication. It is very important to follow the recommended dosage and report any side effects or feelings of excessive sedation. I wouldn't advise taking both for a prolonged period of time.
