i want to let you know that you're not alone. i've felt the same as you in the past.
you mention that you're not depressed or anxious MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE - that sounds like you get blue from time to time but because you think everyone else does too, it must not be a big deal...
sometimes doctors tell people they are just depressed, when really there's something ELSE wrong, so i don't want to imply that (and i am not a doctor) but your detachment from things does sound a little like you are not enjoying life like you used to, and that could be a sign of depression...
and the chemical aspect of depression can cause a very REAL "brain fog" that would make you feel mentally slow or out of touch... i used to be an A+ student but then i started feeling "stupid"... it might not be the same for you, but for me it was from depression and the associated chemical/hormonal fluctuations...
(i also read that even a mild, short bout with depression can kill brain cells...)
