hi, i am not sure what the deal is but i always spit up a little bit of blood early in the morning. not much but enough to turn my sputum red. it has been this way for as long as i can remember. i would say atleast 10 yrs minimum. i have terrible allergies. and sleep with my mouth wide open. i have always assumed that these were the contributing factors. what do yall think.
I had this as a result of acid reflux. I would spit up a little blood in the morning, but had no other symptoms. After an endoscopy (think two foot steel rod down your throat), they found out my esophagus was actually being worn away by the acid causing the bleeding.
If you have sinus trouble, then it is probably sinuses. I always have trouble when the weather changes. My nose gets real dry and if I accidently bump it, it bleeds real bad. Even if I blow it too hard, it bleeds. I would still have a doctor check it out though.
