Hello. I have these swollen bumps to the left of my shin bones, they show mainly when I squat or put pressure on my foot. What could these be? When I press them they don't really hurt. Could they be a sign of some kind of cancer? I have had them for a few years. What test could I suggest my Dr. do? Just normal blood tests?
Hello Kevin,
In a few years cancer would develop so much that you would notice a change. If you are worried, biopsy and then hystologic (tissue) or cytologic (cells) examination reveals the nature of execive tissue.
Lymph nodes in the leg are only in the groin region and behind the knee.
Varicouse nodules are soft and you can squeeze out the blood by pressing the finger above it go down over the nodule and sustain pressure at some point below it and blood won't be able to fill in again until you lift the finger-then the nodule appears again. This maneuver wouldn't be effective with fat cysts (closed fat glands without opening on top like pimples) or benign tumors (except in hemangiomas maybe).
