 Is there a board for GERD or acid reflux disease??
I have many concerns about my acid reflux. I'm a 25 yr old female, and suffer from awkward swallowing, heartburn almost every day, a mild tightness in the chest at times, at times i will burp up food and often i have a feeling that my throat is full. I also find myself choking easily but i dont know if that has to do with my allergies right now. (no, i dont have enlarged tonsils)It would be very beneficial to talk to other people about this, considering I dont have teh money or insurance to get a endoscopy right now. I am currently on prilosec and only just started a couple weeks ago. This is something that plagues me alot because my father died of esophogial cancer and poped tums liek babies eat candy when i was a child. This is something i foudn myself doing to alleviate my heartburn when i first showed signs of it. Back then, he never took anything and im hoping the prilosec will be preventing something bad in the future. Thanks for any help you can give me. Having someone to relate to will help a lot.
