What happened to my ankle?
I walk a lot for exercise and I did something weird to my ankle about 4 days ago. I was getting ready to go the track and my ankle "gave." It bent outward laterally (sole of shoe facing inward).
It didnt pop, so I honestly didnt think much of it. I've been doing my normal walking routine the past 2 days. I went to put on my running shoes this morning and it started to hurt to the point where I decided not to go.
The pinpoint location of the pain is at the talus. There has been absolutely no swelling to this point. I put on a simple brace, and it seems that it was compressing the talus, making it worse.
I can walk okay, but with a bit of discomfort. Wearing shoes makes it better than no going barefoot.
I've been putting ice on it, and am taking Vioxx.
What do you think? I dont know if I aggravated it by walking or something else. [removed] Almost all ankle sprains [removed] have significant swelling...which mine does not, so it caught my attention.
Thanks in advance.
