I had the same thing a few years ago. I had, had a throat infection and after it had gone I noticed that there was a lump on the right hand side of my neck, I also ignored it for a few months. When I finally went to the doctors who confirmed it was a swollen lymph node, I was sent for blood test and to have cells taken from the lump. All the results came back clear, but because it was not going down on it's own I had it removed. I was in and out of the hospital in a couple hours, the swelling the next day was horrific but appart from that there was nothing to it. I am sure all will fine with you but you should get it looked at.
